Vitamin D  maintains strong bones. It does so by helping the body absorb calcium (one of bone’s main building blocks) from food and supplements.

Vitamin D helps protect older adults from osteoporosis and supports the immune system.

Suggested Use: For adults, take 1 softgel daily preferably with a meal. As a dietary supplement. Always discuss the supplements and medications you take with your health care provider.

Warning: This product should not be used as a substitute for a balanced diet. Do not exceed one softgel daily unless recommended by your health care professional. Excess vitamin D can damage the kidneys, rise blood levels of calcium and cause problems with heart rhythm. Do not take if you have kidney disease, known hypersensitivity to vitamin D, hypercalcemia, hyperparathyroidism or granulomatous disorders; unless directed by your health care professional.

Interactions: Corticosteroid medicines, weight-loss drug orlistat, the cholesterol-lowering drug cholestyramine, phenobarbital and phenytoin (used to prevent and control epileptic seizures); can impair or reduce vitamin D absorption, which leads to lower calcium absorption and loss of bone over time.
